They had a truck in transit that had all the options and was the exact color I wanted, Darren kept me updated throughout and was great to work with from first contact until the purchase of the vehicle! Sales Manager Mike Boyce was also great throughout the process. Once in financing Eric Sheffer finished the deal and finished out the seamless car buying process. This was by far the best experience at a dealership I've had and highly recommend!

I worked with Jacob over the phone to work out a deal. When I felt close to the amount, I agreed to have my trade estimated. He worked hard with the manager to get the price where I needed it to be, even when the mark was missed a few times. In the end, everyone pulled together to ensure we were happy with the purchase.

I have mixed feelings since the issues I had when I purchased my vehicle. I was quoted a price, shook on it for the salesman to come back and say they made a mistake. I should’ve left right there but I went ahead with the purchase. Then I canceled my clear coat buffing and never got my refund of $1,000 bucks. It’s a shame cause my son just bought a Dodge Hornet. We looked at them at Criswell but I told him to purchase from Tate in Frederick cause I didn’t want him to go through what I did. I feel like I was wronged not once but twice at Criswell and will not do business with again once my maintenance deal is up on my truck. My wife is soon going to be purchasing a new vehicle but sadly not from Criswell for doing me wrong.

A very tumultuous series of events. Living 500 miles away, I had attended a week-long class at the National Fire Academy in Emmitsburg the week before Labor Day weekend. My car, a 2020 Chevrolet Sonic, had developed a severe coolant leak. The crew at Criswell’s service center was extremely empathetic and showed great care and determination to fix my vehicle as quickly as possible. I had to leave my vehicle in the care of their team over Labor Day weekend and fly home. They called on Tuesday to inform me of the vehicle’s issue (a cracked water pump), and a new part had been ordered. The next day, Wednesday, the pump was replaced and the coolant system was flushed. They were able to keep my car safe and secure until I could fly back out and retrieve it the following Saturday. Once I picked the vehicle up, I can attest to the quality and diligence of the work as the vehicle performed and “felt” better than it had for several months. To Chevrolet as a manufacturer, I am a chevy man for life. I have owned my vehicle for 5 years. Purchased brand new, the vehicle had 118,600+ miles before it developed this (it’s first) big issue. Outstanding work by all! I will buy Chevy until I die, and I only wish my local dealership’s service center was as quick and concerned as Criswell.

I was 10 minutes late to my appointment and it was no problem. I got right in and 40 minutes later I was leaving. The reason I did not give 5stars, I used my credit card and was charged an extra 3% fee. Unexceptionable. Either eat the 3% or charge more on the front end, but charging to use a payment method is bad business in my opinion.

My experience was sent to the dealership directly and is also being shared here, as requested. I should start by stating that part of the blame is mine, for not being more thorough in my research, but I went to the lot to “look” at trucks and ended up leaving with a new 2025 Silverado 2500 HD. My main request was for something with adaptive cruise control and had mentioned it many times throughout the process. I've had it on several vehicles before, loved it, and was reassured many times that my vehicle had it, which it did not. There are many gadgets and gizmos on the truck, and I did not have an opportunity to test everything before I left. I wasn’t too concerned though, as I was reassured the truck had it. I live out of the area and tried everything I could think of to get it to work, while on the way home--to no avail. It wasn’t until I contacted my sales representative and had several text and email exchanges before we collectively realize the truck didn’t have it. My experience to that point was great, but the whole situation left me very, very, disappointed--and more so to learn it can’t even be added or activated. I spent a great deal of money (well to me anyway) and still didn’t get what I wanted.

I drove over an hour to purchase a vehicle from this dealership, and it was well worth the trip. Darren made me feel extremely comfortable throughout the entire process. He never pressured me into making a purchase and worked diligently with me to stay within my budget while still finding the exact car I wanted. His patience and professionalism truly made this one of the best car-buying experiences I’ve ever had. Mike also followed up with me afterward to ensure everything went smoothly, which really showed the level of care this dealership provides.

Great experience. Buying a car can be a long daunting process. In my case, the process at Criswell Chevrolet of Thurmont was very efficient and quick, and I was in and out in an hour. From sales to the business office……everything was efficient and professional.

Very easy process in purchasing my new truck.

The recall on my Silverado was completed as expected; however, when I picked up my truck, I immediately noticed that the automatic running boards were no longer working, despite functioning properly when I dropped it off. This was concerning, especially since the only explanation I was given was that it was “because it’s cold outside.” The vehicle was not taken back into the shop for inspection or repair, and I was left with the impression that there was little interest in addressing the issue. As a result, my truck was returned to me in worse condition than when I brought it in, which is unacceptable.

Everyone was very nice helped with everything. I was undecided. I looked at two different vehicles. We weighed all the options and ended up with the perfect one.

Took my 2025 Colorado ZR2 in after it started coding out on me. I've only had it for 10 months. The Criswell team took care of me and my truck, running diagnostics and double checking the computer's memory. Apparently the truck didn't like the cold at first. The Criswell Service Team got me back out on the road with confidence!

Booking my appointment had a hiccup. I originally booked online, got a confirmation and when I called to to confirm the day before the appointment was moved to a Monday morning without my knowledge. Eventually got scheduled for a Saturday morning with no issue.

Everything went very well. They even took care of something that I wasn't aware of.

I saw the truck on AutoTrader and emailed the dealership. I was contacted by Chris Bruce and we discussed my trade-in and the price of the truck. We settled on a price and I drove from Tampa, FL to purchase the truck. Chris met me at the dealership first thing in the morning and started the paperwork. Eric with finance was able to get financing at a good rate. The truck the filled up with diesel and detailed in a timely fashion. We are on the road and drove back to Tampa.

This was an amazing experience. We had been working with a local dealer who was unable or unwilling to fix the transmission in our truck. Criswell really seemed to care about us and wanted to fix our vehicle. They were easy to work with. They even provided a truck for us to use while our truck was being worked on. Even though they are two hours away, we will continue to use Criswell for any further work that needs to be done.

I was greeted when I arrived. I had the oil changed. I have a paint issue on my 2026 Colorado. Its streaking. The service rep took pictures and would pass them onto his manager. I haven't heard back from Criswell yet.

Ended up being a little pricey, with all the hidden costs. Still trying to figure out what $25.00 for shop supplies was for, when only getting an oil and filter change, and talked into a cabin filter that ended up costing like $85.00 with labor to put a small. Suggest you ask about prices before taking your car in for servicing.

We dealt with two difficult situations (a major GM engine recall and a difficult insurance company on a claim). Each and very time they went out of their way to help us get the situation resolved even though it wasn’t their fault, including helping us out on trades to get out of those situations. Matthew went out of his way during our most recent purchase to answer every question even on his days off, displaying incredible patience and professionalism.
